2009/10 Half Season Junior Report

Including hosing for the first time & having 8 out of the 10 finalists
in the Boy's Derbyshire Junior Squash Closed finals, then winning them
ALL, and also Isobel Favell the Champ in the Girls U11, the club
juniors had a very successful first half season up to January.

Most notable is Ashley Davies' at no. 2 in England & 4 in Europe at
U15's. His many victories SO FAR this season include, Derbyshire Under
15, 17 & 19 Champ, East Midlands U15 Champ, Bulgarian Open Champ,
British Closed U15 R-up. He now moves up to U17 age group.

As well as Ashley & Isobel's wins we have Henry Wall who is the East
Midlands U11 Champ as well as Derbyshire U11 Champ, and our other
Derbyshire Champ is Matt Lamin who  won the U13's.

We must also acknowledge 3 other Juniors who have also gained a
national ranking, which takes commitment to play in County, Area and
ESR Sanctioned event's, these are Jono Lovgrove no. 47 in U19's, Alex
Wilson at no. 90 in U15's & Matt Barton no. 82 in U13's.

Jason Fearn our Club Coach is very proud of these achievements &
points out, that as well as these outstanding results we have many
Juniors playing for the county or actively playing and gaining success
at their own level & believes these examples will spur all our young
players on to further improvments.
